House Rules

I know, I know, rules are boring… But these rules ensure we can provide future guests with a great experience.

* Due to the increase of fraud, we require a copy of the booking guest's ID as well as a picture of the booking guest. Guest ID and photo with be verified and must match the profile picture. The booking guest MUST BE present during the stay.

* Absolutely no smoking or vaping is allowed in the home or on the premises (including patio and yard). If it is revealed by any means that there was any smoking in or on our property we charge a fee of $300 for deep cleaning. No illegal substances in or on the property.

* NO PETS are allowed at any time, any violations of this rule will result in a fee of $300.

**NOTE: If you break the house rules on smoking, pets or parties, you agree that your reservation could be cancelled and could be charged a fine. If your reservation gets cancelled you will not receive any refunds.***

* Parties are not allowed at the house. Special circumstances may exist but must be discussed in advance

* Property is under audio and video surveillance outside at all times. Recording is 24/7 - 365 days

*DO NOT tamper with network or security devices, any attempt to do so could lead to an immediate cancelation of your booking and you will be asked to leave the property immediately WITH NO REFUNDS.

* Must be 25 years of age or older to book the property

* No unregistered overnight guests, if you need to add additional guests please reach out to me to see if we can work it out.

* We supply coffee, as well as cooking utensils should you wish to cook. Our only request is to run dishes through the dishwasher prior to leaving.

* No use of hair dying or spray tan products on the property please

* Since we are located on an island your sight seeing may take you to the beach. Please make every effort to keep the sand outside. There is a garden hoses provided to rinse off the sand prior to entering the house.

* Please do not take the white bath towels to the beach we have provided beach towels just for this occasion.

* Please do not place sandy things in the washer or dryer without shaking them out or rinsing them off.

* You will be responsible for any damages to the house or property by you or or anyone in your group during your stay. Charges for the repairs or replacement will be passed along to you.

* Any windows or doors left open that results in any nature crawling in, flying in, or blowing in will not constitute as a full refund.

* Cleaning Instructions: On your way out, all we ask is for you to please load and run the dishwasher should you have any dishes that still need cleaning. Our cleaners will handle the rest.

Welcome to The Townsend!
This 1925 historic home in Galveston is a charming single-story property that exudes old-world charm and elegance. The house is beautifully restored, maintaining many original features, including hardwood floors, built-in cabinetry, tall ceilings, original shiplap, and a spacious back deck that is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the sunshine.

Inside the house, guests will find three bedrooms, one bathroom, and an open-plan living and dining area. The living room features a comfortable sofa and armchairs, as well as a large flat-screen TV, making it the ideal spot for gathering with friends and family.

The dining area is located adjacent to the living room and features a large table that can seat up to six people comfortably. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern amenities and appliances, including a dishwasher, microwave, and oven, making it easy to prepare delicious meals during your stay.
The bedrooms in this historic home are spacious and comfortable, each with its own unique character. The master bedroom features a king-sized bed, while the other two bedrooms have a queen-sized bed and twin trundle, making it an ideal space for families or groups of friends. The third bedroom also includes a work desk and gallery wall with original wallpaper, and a photocopy of the original property deed.

Outside, the backyard is an oasis with a large patio, a lush lawn, and a BBQ pit for an evening of relaxing and grilling.

Overall, this historic home in Galveston is a beautiful and charming property that provides an excellent opportunity to experience the rich history and culture of the area. With its comfortable and inviting interior and prime location in a quiet neighborhood, it is the perfect place to call home while exploring Galveston.
Guest access
You will have the entire property to yourself! There is a driveway with room for 2 cars and free on street parking right in front of the house. There is a walk up porch that leads to the entrance to the house. Enter through the white storm door.
Additional notes
*Galveston has the potential for flash flooding. If your car is parked on the street it could get flooded. We have a driveway with space for two vehicles.
* Hurricane Season - A full refund will only be issued if the City of Galveston initiates a mandatory evacuation of the City of Galveston. Please purchase travel insurance if necessary.
Neighborhood overview
Being centrally located, The Townsend is close to almost everything. It may not be walking distance to The Beach, but a short drive or leisurely bike ride will have you at The Seawall in just "a few minutes". Other attractions like the Pleasure Pier and the Historic Strand are also just "a few minutes" away. You're on Island Time!
